We are currently looking for instructor candidates to join our extensive team of instructors and consultants.

LEAD TRAINER: CERTIFIED UTILITY ARBORIST APPRENTICESHIPS

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Must have 4 or more years experience as a Journeyman CUA
    • Must have reliable transportation and driver's licence
    ADDITIONAL:
      Preferred credentials include Journeyman Certified Utility Arborist. Crew Leader with training/supervision experience.
    • The successful candidate has the ability to lead crews, manage schedules and mentor other trainers, strong communication skills, model behavior that promotes a safe work environment, strong verbal and written skills, ability to work in rugged terrain and inclement weather, possess a valid Driver License, ability to climb, use complex rigging systems, operate aerial lifts, chippers, and chain saws.
    • Understanding of applicable provincial, local laws and regulations. Knowledge of the Industry Training Authority Utility Arborist Apprenticeship pathway. Best Management Practices; Utility Pruning of Trees, and Aerial Rescue Protocol.
    • Trainers are required to work in a classroom environment as well as in the field with year one and year two apprentices monitoring safe work practices and training to industry standards.

    COMPENSATION: This is a contract position for 8 hours per training day with approximately 30 weeks of training per intake year. Starting wage of $65/hour.

INSTRUCTORS: POWERLINE TECHNICIAN (PLT) PROGRAMS

    LOCATION: Prince George and Fort St. John, British Columbia.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND ASSETS:

    • Experience working in a high voltage environment (i.e. 50kV and above)
    • Minimum of seven years experience as an electrical journeyperson is ideal.
    • Certificate or degree demonstrating competency in trade / profession is ideal.
    • Teaching experience and the completion of an Instructor Diploma is an asset.
    • Excellent knowledge of electrical theory required
    • Computer literacy, including a working knowledge of MS Office
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    SALARY: Salary will commensurate with education and experience. Contract position.
